Some of the Hosta's
produce a gorgeous purple balloon flowers. I saved
some and dried them. They kept the color, could look
good in a glass jar too. I made by own potpourri by
spaying them with my favorite fragrance. Now you can
do it too.


Preserve the fall colors - All you need here is a frame, leaves and a glue stick!

Textured switch plates

When we moved into this
log home, I wanted cabin looking switch plates on
budget, as I needed 30 of them. I removed the plastic
plates and painted them with a neat spray paint and
finally a coated layer for protection. What a great
budget buster. Didn't cost me hardly anything!

can write when and where you found it.

I loved these pants, but
not my style any more. I can now enjoy them in a
different way, as a bowl. I cut them up in 1/2"
strips and knitted the bowl. It's nice and soft too.
Just had to make sure the fuzzy side was faced out.

Snow man from nuts and paper clay

I took three nuts,
covered them with paper play and made a mini snowman,
he's about 4" tall, paint and a coat of silver
sparkle finished him off. Super simple. Have fun.


Dragonflies are easy to make like this

So easy to make little
dragonflies, from Fimo Clay, harden in you own oven
at home, make a few holes for the wings (feathers
works well). Have fun!

This is all made from
fimo clay (michael's) stuffed with what every have
and glue it together. I used a face form for the face
(also from Michael's) and then you tweak the way you
want it. Add with any decoration you have.


Frostie the snowman came alive

Start with foam balls,
layer with paper clay, a wet'ish clay that's perfect
for making a realistic snow man, little lumps etc.
After it all dried in layers, I added two layers of
paint and finished off with a sparkly coating. I used
natural stones for face features and button. The nose
is from fimo lay, made a had from cardboard and
felt.It was a fun project

Hippie pants turned into a plate

loved got made into this bowl, just crochet it until
desired size. Added little lace and yarn for
decoration.


Buffalo tail fly swisher

I was given a buffalo
tail at one time. What am I going to do with this...
Horses uses the tail as a fly swisher so why not me.
Made a handle and some jingle cones.

Made this dragonfly from
two broken butterknives, the body I made from Fimo
clay (from Michaels) that you can just burn in your
own oven. Painted with acrylic paint. Chop stick can
be used to stick it into a plant.

Here's my robe!. Loved
this old robe, to death days. Got a bit worn out
sadly, I cut it up in strips when I couldn't use it
any more and made a plastic bag holder out of it.
It's big thick and very sturdy, one foot in diameter
and 1.5 tall. Now I can still love my robe in a
different way. I wove the belt in and out of the bowl
as the final touch.




Simple beach treasure

Was out walking on the
beach 3 years after the Katrina hurricane. Found this
old piece from a chair or something. Made my own
little memory from where I had been. Waves in
Galveston. You can do the same, as simple as just
writing the place on a stone.

So easy to make your own
little frame of the first little flowers in the
spring. These are from Sweden, called Tussilago.
Sprinkled some dirt, added little nature and two
butterflies I had found.


Precious Red Earth sand

Brought this sand home
from Utah. I love this sand, it's cool, smooth and
sooooo soft. Had a left over glass jar and I can play
with it any time I like.

Beach treasures are
great, this old rusty boat was thin and dirty,
cleaned it up and spray paint coated with a brown
color with sand. Did it at least 15 times to build up
a thick layer, front and back. Good memories and
looks new!

moss and feathers. Had some goat fur that became
hair, glass beads for earrings.

As I love moss I made
this moss basket out of yarn that looks like moss.
Did it nice and thick so it holds the shape. Free

Cutting up my all time

Beach Memories - Sand Dollars

Old weathered frame, sand and sand dollars, different shades of paint and blends! The ones with no holes are from San Francsico Beach on the west coast and the ones with holes in them are from the east coast.

This is glass from Glass Beach, Fort Bragg, CA. Four sided glass vase as base, glued on with glass glue. Hot glue gun did not work. I learned the hard way. This gives a really nice glow when you burn a tea light in there.

Found a damaged bear in the trash

This bear was found in
the garbage. I sanded a little bit, washed it off,
and then just coated it with spray paint, liked this
antiqued color with a blend. Bear is now happy
beautiful and out of the garbage can.
